Maybe in WRC 10 it feels slightly better compared to WRC 9 and even more to WRC 8 but that doesn't change the view that game is just partly sim because it feels a bit strange with the immersion, game speed and how the car reacts to many situation. In WRC 10 ok you have a bit more stages and they are each different where DR 2.0 have them in parts but they are only inspired by real ones not being the real ones though and also with the connection of the physics and car it feels too chaotic. In WRC 9/WRC 10 i'm sure you can't even move the car the same smooth through the ruts and also what DR 2.0 advantage is it has this stage degradation, a lot of difference between the grip levels at monte carlo for example or even on gravel on wet conditions where because of degradation each part of the road, ruts and bumps feel different. If you compare what you can do with the 95 Subaru Impreza in DR 2.0 and compare it to onboard then it's very easy to say it looks very similar. Simulation is not about being hard or even hardcore as many said for DiRT Rally (2015) It's about a natural feel a bit depending on what every player feels but also how it compares to real life. If you base on physics because a car drives smoother or easier then it's completely wrong approach. DR 2.0 is very arcade, car drives like it's on rails. Originally posted by Kryspa7:Also about EA, they said EA lies harder than Ubisoft. I might install WRC 10 just to see for myself. With WRC 10 it seemed the physics got closer to DR2 (even if it has a long way to AC) so that's why I was wondering. I'm not the one chasing stage records - just after the experience/immersion. DR2 in VR is just extraordinary, getting close to AC. :) The licensed cars are of course a magnet, but with my playstyle, I do fine with DR2 and RBR (and the RSRBR mod, kegetys VR tool etc). I hope you will enjoy whatever you play, whatever you do. some prefer Richard Burns Rally, some really big WRC fans want WRC because of license or more stages and some others Sebastien Loeb Rally, but for myself and very honest opinion where i played all of them is that DR 2.0 is already very good but the future can be even more bright. DiRT is just still way modern and technologically advanced so in terms of that the game gains on realizm and physics, but of course there are many games which you can try etc. To be fair i don't say to not try WRC, but in my opinion and i'm really also analizying a lot onboards and many opinions etc. Yeah there is some true about what you said. I guess I am a picky one, but there is a line between "being there" and "just playing a video game". It was my gut feeling, even after reading/watching many reviews. It means I'll pass on WRC 10 and continue with DR2. Originally posted by James:Thank you very much Kryspa7. I'm sure DiRT Rally 3 or even + WRC license whatever it will be called it will be even more revolutionary than DiRT Rally 2 or most of WRC games. DiRT 5 or GRID team is different, most of all DiRT 5 is made by another studio which did games like OnRush, DiRT 4 studio was the same as from DiRT Rally 2.0 but as you can see they used this game maybe a bit as an feedback to make it even better as DiRT Rally 2.0 Also about EA, they said they want to give Codemasters freedom so i guess we can stay calm for a bit and see what will happen. Don't compare them with Grid or Dirt 5 team.Ĭodies has been pretty bad lately outside of F1 and Dirt Rally. The overall package is actually quite good and with a very high resolution (2560x1440) it even looks ok.ĭirt Rally team know what they're doing. In the meantime I have also bought GRID 2019 for just under 8 € with all DLCs included. Before Dirt 4, I loved every Codemasters game. If Codemasters raise the level and quality to F1 quality, I would be happy about the change. Unless they reach the quality of their F1 2019 + 2020 range. Bad News!!! Alone when I think of Dirt 4, Grid 2019 or Dirt 5.
